5-Day Devotional: Walking in His FootstepsThis guide is designed to help you move from "information to transformation" by spending a few minutes each day abiding in the Word.________________________________________Day 1: The Call to AbideRead: 1 John 2:1-6 Insight: Walking like Jesus isn't about trying harder; it’s about staying closer. The Greek word Meno (abide) means making Jesus your home. When you are "at home" in His love, His character naturally begins to rub off on you. Reflect: What area of your life feels like it’s "outside" of your home with Jesus? How can you invite Him into that space today?________________________________________Day 2: Moving Toward the MessRead: John 8:1-3 & Matthew 9:35-38 Insight: Most people run away from chaos, but Jesus walked right into the middle of the woman’s worst moment. To follow Him, we have to stop avoiding "messy" people and start seeing them through the lens of compassion. Reflect: Who is the "messiest" person you know? Instead of avoiding them, pray for a specific opportunity to show them kindness this week.________________________________________Day 3: The Power of PresenceRead: John 8:4-6 & Philippians 2:5-8 Insight: Jesus didn't immediately start preaching at the woman. He stooped down. He was present. Often, people don't need a lecture; they need to know they aren't alone in their shame. Reflect: In your conversations today, practice "intentional presence" by listening more than you speak.________________________________________Day 4: Dropping the StoneRead: John 8:7-9 & Romans 3:23-24 Insight: We all have a "stone" we are tempted to throw—judgment, gossip, or a cold shoulder. Jesus reminds us that since we have all been forgiven, we have no right to condemn others. Reflect: Imagine yourself standing in that circle with a stone in your hand. What is that stone labeled? Physically open your hand right now as a symbolic act of dropping it before God.________________________________________Day 5: Truth and Grace TogetherRead: John 8:10-11 & John 1:14-17 Insight: Jesus didn't say, "What you did was fine." He said, "Go and sin no more." He gave her Grace (Neither do I condemn you) and Truth (Sin no more). Grace gives us the strength to pursue the Truth. Reflect: How can you speak the truth to someone today while still wrapping it in the same grace Jesus showed you?________________________________________Daily Prayer Focus“Lord, help me to Meno (abide) in You today. Let my feet go where Your feet would go, and let my heart feel what Your heart feels. Help me to drop my stones and pick up Your mantle of grace. Amen.”
